STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police arrested a person of interest in a Monterey murder case at a hotel in Studio City on Saturday morning.

Authorities did not release the name of the man who was taken into custody at the Universal Inn on Ventura Boulevard. Police said the man was arrested on a parole violation.

Guests at the hotel said they were shocked early Saturday morning when they saw a SWAT team surround the building and heard helicopters overhead.

Officers went room-to-room talking to guests. There were no injuries reported.
