Update as of 8:25 p.m.: San Bernardino County Sheriff’s report via Twitter that Rosa Ortiz was located and is expected to be reunited with her family soon.

LOMA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — The San Bernardino County sheriff-coroner’s department Thursday asked for the public’s help in locating a missing woman.

Rosa Ortiz left her home for a morning walk around 10:45 a.m. and never returned home.

Around 5:45 p.m., the 65-year-old was spotted in the area of North E. Street and Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino, authorities said.

Ortiz is a Latina woman who stands at 5 feet 3 inches. She weighs 133 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said Ortiz has Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and takes medication due to high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
