LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — At least two people were injured in a South Los Angeles crash early Sunday morning.

Authorities say a SUV smashed into a tree near the intersection of Florence Avenue and San Pedro Street around 3:30 a.m.

A can of yellow paint burst open during impact, splashing paint on the victims.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
