Ex-Upland Official Sentenced In Corruption Case

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (AP) — Upland's former city manager has been sentenced in a corruption case.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise says Robin Quincey was sentenced Friday to 180 days in San Bernardino County custody. He'll serve jail time on weekends and will have some home confinement.

Quincey was charged with misusing thousands of dollars in public funds but last month he pleaded no contest to conflict of interest.

The case involved allegations that Quincey benefited from a $50,000 contract the city reached with a law firm in 2010.

Quincey also repaid $50,000.

Quincey was arrested two years ago during a corruption investigation involving former Upland officials.

Former Mayor John Pomierski pleaded guilty in 2012 to a federal bribery charge and was sentenced to two years in prison.
