Alma's Chef Ari Taymor Cooks For KCAL9

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Chef Ari Taymor from ALMA Restaurant visited the KCAL9 studios Friday.

Taymor is a rising star finalist for a James Beard award.

The James Beard Taste of American Event will be held Friday night at Vibiana and includes a cocktail reception and dinner.

Originally started as a pop-up concept, Alma soon set its roots in the Downtown LA space it now calls home, located on Broadway Avenue directly across from the Ace Hotel. Inspired by the landscape of southern California, ingredients on the menu are harvested and foraged from a curated group of local farmers and from Alma's garden in Venice, a budding, produce-rich neighborhood garden plot.
