Jennifer Lawrence On Celeb Hacking: 'It Is Not A Scandal. It Is A Sex Crime'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence calls the recent celebrity hacking scheme, "a sexual violation."

In the November issue of Vanity Fair, she says, "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."

She adds, "Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame."

The issue hits newsstands in one week.

Lawrence was one of dozens of celebrities whose nude photos were leaked online in August.

Her pictures were taken for her then-boyfriend.

Apple acknowledged that hackers broke into the celebrities' accounts and has since announced plans to tighten online security.
