Former Juvenile Camp Therapist Pleads Not Guilty To Molestation Charge

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A former therapist of a juvenile camp, who is accused of sexual conduct with a minor, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to criminal charges.

Ana Patricia Moennich, who worked as a therapist at Camp Mendenhall, has been charged with one felony count each of contact with a minor for sexual offense and oral copulation with a person under the age of 18.

She's also been charged with one misdemeanor count of child molestation.

Moennich is accused of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old boy, who was serving a juvenile sentence.

The incidents allegedly occurred during therapy sessions between April 27, 2013 and Nov. 22, 2013, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said in a written statement.

A pretrial hearing for Moennich has been scheduled for Nov. 4, the statement added.

Moennich faces six years in prison, if convicted as charged, authorities said.
