Firefighters Discover Body After Putting Out Tree Fire In Northridge

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A body was found following a tree fire outside a San Fernando Valley school.

The fire was reported just after 6:45 a.m. at Nobel Charter Middle School, 9950 Tampa Avenue, in Northridge, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

After firefighters extinguished the flames in about 10 minutes, they discovered the body of an adult male, school officials said.

There was no connection between the victim and the school, according to authorities.

There was no structure damage to the school.
