Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrates Halloween Horror Nights With Eyegore Awards

UNIVERSAL CITY (CBSLA.com) — It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween inside Universal Studios Hollywood.

Friday night marked the kick-off celebration of Halloween Horror Nights, where Hollywood's horror icons were honored at the Eyegore Awards.

KCAL9's Suzanne Marques spoke with celebrities about what they feared as they braved the red carpet for the premiere.

For Madison Davenport of "From Dusk 'Til Dawn," she feared being alone in the dark.

"I brought my little brother along with me," Davenport said. "I'm just going to hold on to him pretty tight and just push him in front of people. That's my game plan."

Other celebrities such as Slash feared stepping on Lego blocks and going to the dentist.

For the first time ever, fans were invited to attend the Eyegore Awards this year by purchasing a special add-on ticket. The first 500 guests who did so also gained access to a one-time front-of-the-line experience to the Terror Tram.

This year, fans can expect to be surrounded by zombies and terrifying creatures while being immersed in a three-dimensional horrifying world.

A new terrifying maze called "The Walking Dead: The End of the Line" is based on AMC's award-winning TV series and expected to leave guests shrieking in fear.

Other scare zones are inspired by TV series and blockbuster thrillers such as "The Purge: Anarchy," "Face Off: In the Flesh," "An American Werewolf in London," "AVP: Alien vs. Predator," and "Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood" to name a few.

Admission tickets can be purchased online. This thrillseeking event is set to scare thousands of guests through Nov. 2.
