HLN Reporter Gives Insight Into The Jodi Arias Retrial In New Book

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Best selling author Jane Velez-Mitchell visited the KCAL9 studios Friday to talk about her book "Exposed: The Secret Life of Jodi Arias."

In May of 2013, an Arizona jury convicted Jodi Arias of pre-mediated first degree murder in the killing of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. And after four days of deliberation, those jurors failed to reach a unanimous decision as to whether Jodi should receive the death penalty or a life sentence in prison.

EXPOSED: The Secret Life of Jodi Arias by HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell is an ultimate refresher before the State vs. Jodi Arias penalty phase retrial beginning September 8th, and highlights the proceedings viewers may see as the jury comes to a verdict. Will this new batch of jurors decide on the death penalty or will Arias charm the court during her testimony? Could there be a potential plea deal? Velez-Mitchell, who reported from the frontlines of the trial, is the expert analyst as the people wait to hear how this jury will decide Jodi Arias' fate.

A portion of the book's proceeds will be donated to Travis Alexander's charities and an animal charity.
