Driver Crashes Car Into Costa Mesa Home, Flees Scene On Foot

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were looking for a driver who crashed his car into an Orange County home and then ran away.

The crash happened just before midnight Tuesday near the corner of Mendoza Drive and Lorenzo Avenue in Costa Mesa, authorities said.

Police said the driver of the Ford sedan lost control of the vehicle, drove through a wall and into a two-story residence.

A witness told officials that he tried to stop the man from fleeing the scene, but he got away on foot.

No one inside the home was hurt.
