More Than 2 Dozen Arrested During 'Made In America' Music Festival Downtown

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — More than two dozen people were arrested during the first day of an outdoor music festival in downtown Los Angeles.

The Budweiser Made in America concert –- a bi-coastal festival -- got underway at Grand Park at 2 p.m. Saturday and featured more than two dozen artists, including Afrojack, Iggy Azalea and Imagine Dragons.

LAPD Lt. Andy Neiman told City News Service that six of the 29 arrests were for narcotics-related felonies. A majority of the other arrests were reportedly for alcohol-related offenses.

Several hundred members of both the LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were assigned to work the festival, which has reported no major incidents.

Neiman told the wire service that the crowd of tens of thousands of people were "very well behaved" for the size of the event.

Sunday's anticipated lineup included Savenger Hunt, Rita Ora, Weezer, Cypress Hill, Nipsey Hussle, John Mayer, and Kanye West.
