Man Shot And Killed In Broad Daylight On Whittier Street
WHITTIER (CBSLA.com) — A 34-year-old man has died after being shot in broad daylight in the city of Whittier, authorities said Saturday.
Whittier police said in a written statement that officers responded to the 8000 block of Washington Avenue about 12:11 p.m. following a report of a gunshot wound victim.
When they arrived, the officers located the man and began CPR.
The victim was subsequently taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the man's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Police said it's unclear if the shooting was gang-related.
