Man Allegedly Robbed, Kidnapped After Meeting Woman At O.C. Motel

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say five people have been arrested in connection with the robbery, carjacking, and kidnapping of a man at a motel in the city of Garden Grove.

Garden Grove police said in a written statement that the incident unfolded at the Garden Grove Inn after the man had agreed to meet a woman who he'd become acquainted with from an Internet ad.

The statement said the man arrived at the motel around 3:30 a.m. and met the woman police identified as Fiona Fiaseu.

While in the room, police said two men arrived and threatened the man at gunpoint. They are accused of then punching and kicking the man as well as taking his wallet, car keys, and phone, the statement said.

"[The suspects] forced the victim into his vehicle and transported him to several ATMs where they attempted to force the victim to withdraw money," the statement alleged.

Police said the man was allegedly held for two hours before being released in Costa Mesa.

A total of five suspects were arrested and booked into the Orange County jail, including Fiona Fiaseu and her brother, Finau. The remaining suspects were identified by police as Soane Venasio Lelenoa, Francisco Javier Vazquez, and Timothy Joseph Perez.

Police said all five face charges of robbery, kidnapping, and carjacking.
