Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 21)

STUDIO CITY(KCAL9) — The upper level low that brought in the wild inland empire weather Wednesday is now exiting the region. It has done a good job of breaking up the marine layer, so as a result expect more sunshine Thursday morning.

There is an indication there will be some afternoon instability so be on the lookout for a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon. That threat is for inland areas.

Temperatures will be similar to Wednesday, maybe a degree or two warmer in spots because of the early sunshine. The marine layer should do a better job of organizing for Friday and Saturday morning, which will bring the daytime high down a degree or two as we head into the weekend.

It's going to be a fairly boring pattern through the start of next week: clouds in the morning and sunshine for the afternoon. There should be a warming trend next week; however, a tropical system in the Eastern Pacific may pump up through the middle of next week, but we'll have to see if it contributes to any moisture spawning some more monsoonal storms.
