LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) —   Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the shooting death of a man in Lancaster early Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 47000 block of 30th Street East around 1:45 a.m., officials said.

Deputies responding to a shots fired call discovered a Latino lying in the driveway of a residence.

The unidentified victim was shot in the upper torso and pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect(s) information at this time, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
