3rd Annual Pigs, Ribs & Watermelon Professional BBQ Competition Happening This Weekend

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The 3rd Annual Pigs, Ribs and Watermelon Professional BBQ competition and Beer Festival is happening this weekend at Huntington State Beach!

Courtney Lutkus and Josh Baker from American Family Housing visited the KCAL9 studios Thursday to talk about the event which is a Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event and competing for the $10,000.00 prize money.

Hours:

Friday, August 8 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Be one of the first to taste of the BBQ treats.

Saturday, August 9 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. (Kids BBQ competition for children ages 6-15 that is open to the public)

Sunday, August 18 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

CBS2's Josh Rubenstein will also be on hand to host the awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
