LAPD Seeks Public's Help In Finding 2 Children Allegedly Abducted By Biological Mother

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were seeking the public's help in locating two children allegedly abducted by their biological mother.

Ameenah Rasheedah Freeman, 37, took 8-year-old Emanuel Freeman and 9-year-old Adoniah Freeman Monday around 3 p.m. from a home in the 1700 block of West 35th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

When they did not return, the children's grandmother reported them missing Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Officials say the suspect and children, who both suffer from asthma and require an inhaler, were last seen in the Northridge area around 4:15 p.m. in a maroon 2011 Ford Edge with paper plates that have "Airport Marina" written on it.

Police believe Freeman may be headed to Phoenix, Arizona where the children's biological father may be living. She was described as black woman with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black dress with black sandals.

Emanuel Freeman was described as a black boy with black hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 94 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a "Mario Brothers" picture, black shorts with white stripes and black sandals.

Adoniah Freeman was  described as a black girl with black hair and brown eyes, about 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 97 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink dress with white flowers.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the children or the suspect was asked to contact LAPD Southwest Detective III D. Johnson at (213)485-6571.
