Crews Contain Residential Fire After 1 Burn Victim Transported In Serious Condition

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Crews Wednesday battled a house fire that seriously injured an adult female resident, officials said.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, 29 firefighters arrived in the 1000 block of North Tremont Street just before 10:30 p.m. and were able to contain the fire within 11 minutes.

Officials said that the female burn victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital and was listed in serious condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
