Stranded Hikers Rescued In Altadena

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department helicopter Monday rescued two stranded hikers from a trail in the foothills of Altadena, authorities said.

Officials received a call about 1:50 p.m. concerning the hikers who were last seen near Alta Loma Drive and Chaney Trail, according to a Los Angeles County Fire spokesperson.

A helicopter crew located the hikers and retrieved them from a steep hillside slope after 2:30 p.m., according to reports.

It was unclear if either of the hikers had suffered any injuries.
