LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — CMT’s “Broken Skull Challenge,” is pretty aptly named.

It’s like “Survivor” on steroids. The contestants give it their all for a chance to win $10,000. (Translation: Many of them need that money for band aids, Ben Gay and massages when done.) The winner of each episode takes on the ultimate obstacle course.
“BSC” is the brain-child of wrestling legend Steve Austin (aka Stone Cold) who is also the host — literally. The competition takes place on his 2000-acre ranch in Tilden, Texas. And he also designed that obstacle course, known as “The Skullbuster.”
A Sherman Oaks man — namely 26-year-old Ryan Campbell — will appear on the popular show next Sunday, July 20 (8 p.m. PT. check local listings for station).

Campbell can dead-lift more than 400 pounds — which means he can also move the Xerox machine if need be. Over his head.
Recently he was asked what his favorite part of his body is/was and he said, “My whole body.” He also said he pushes himself until he’s about to throw up (happily this will not be shown on TV).
Campbell was also asked why he decided to take this ultimate challenge and sweat and risk bodily injury.
“I wanted to win the 10 grand,” he says, “but I also want to show other guys what true fitness is all about.”
