Traffic Builds As Police Search For Possible Gunman In Mid-City
MID-CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police were on the search for a man believed to have had a gun in Mid-City near the I-10 freeway.
Authorities pulled over a silver vehicle between Washington and the I-10 freeway for a traffic stop, when the man got out of the vehicle and ran into the neighborhood.
Police believe the man may be armed.
The search has prompted an area lockdown, which has resulted in heavy traffic, shutting down both northbound and southbound traffic on Crenshaw Boulevard.
Vehicles attempting to get on I-10 from Crenshaw are being diverted to detours, causing increased traffic as authorities attempt to locate the man.
