2 Assailants Pistol-Whip State Police Officer In Exposition Park

EXPOSITION PARK (CBSLA.com) — Two assailants reportedly pistol-whipped a state police officer Wednesday night in Exposition Park.

The California Department of Public Safety officer was transported to a hospital for unspecified injuries, the LAPD reported.

The officer was attacked around 10 p.m. in the park's Rose Garden.

Police are scouring the area for the suspects.
