Burbank Airport Unveils New Transportation Center

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Bob Hope Airport Friday unveiled a Regional Intermodal Transportation Center to provide San Fernando Valley residents with access to services from Metrolink, MTA and Burbank Transit.

The facility, which is located along Empire Avenue, is directly across from the airport's train station.

The 520,000-square-foot center also boasts rental car services, airport parking, a bus transit station, shuttle service to the airport terminal and bike storage areas.

"I have fought for funding for the transportation center for over a decade. I am pleased to see it open," Congressman Brad Sherman said in a statement. "This transportation center has the ability to transform San Fernando Valley transit, linking travelers of car, rail, bus, bike, and plane."
