2 Men Arrested In Thousand Oaks Bank Robbery
THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Two Ventura County residents have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a local bank.
Jasen Eckhart, 20, and 19-year-old Dylan Bogart were arrested this week following the robbery of a U.S. Bank inside a Vons supermarket in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department said.
According to authorities, one suspect entered the bank and brandished a handgun.
"After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran out of the store and got on the back of a scooter" that was being driven by the second suspect.
The two men drove through the parking lot and escaped.
A multi-agency investigation, comprised of the VCSO and the FBI, resulted in the arrest of Eckhart and Bogart, officials said.
Both men were being held at the Ventura County Jail on $50,000 bail for armed bank robbery.
They are scheduled to appear in court Friday.
