Officials Hunt For Woman Accused Of Abducting Her 4-Year-Old Daughter

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities are on the lookout for a 25-year-old woman they said abducted her 4-year-old daughter Friday morning.

Santa Ana Police officers responded to a local motel at 2600 N. Main just after 8:30 a.m. for a possible parental abduction.

The father, who has sole custody of the missing child, told them he was with the mother and child last night at the hotel. He told authorities that when he woke up this morning the mother and child were bone. Taking the child puts the mother, identified as Rachel Ashley Marks, in violation of the court ordered child custody agreement.

It is believed the mother may be on her way to Las Vegas where she currently resides.

Marks is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds. She has black hair, and brown eyes

The daughter, Taylor Faith Marks, is 3 feet 5 inches tall and about 50 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray skirt, white shirt with polka dots, and black shoes.

Marks is believed to be driving a dark-colored compact SUV, possibly an Acura MDX.

Anyone who has seen Marks or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the Santa Ana Police Department at (714) 245-8390.
