OC Mom Sentenced To More Than 3 Years In Prison For Sexual Relationship With Son's Friends

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — A 44-year-old Orange County woman was sentenced Friday to three years and four months in state prison for sexually assaulting her son's teenage friends.

Nicole McMillen, of Irvine, was convicted in October 2013 of four felony counts of lewd acts upon a child and three felony counts of oral copulation of a minor under 16 years old.

McMillen had an illicit relationship with a 14-year-old boy between January and February 2012 while the victim was at her house visiting her son.

"McMillen is accused of committing a lewd act by fondling John Doe's groin area over the clothing, touching his groin area over the clothing and touching his penis directly, and orally copulating the victim on several occasions," the District Attorney's Office said.

The victim told his mother about the acts on Feb, 13, 2012 and the crime was reported to the Irvine Police Department.

During an investigation, authorities discovered McMillen also had an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old boy between 2005 and 2006.

"Evidence that was presented during the trial showed that McMillen maintained an on-going sexual relationship with John Doe #2 for more than one year," prosecutors said.

During the time of the illicit relationship, McMillen worked part time with kindergarten-age children at Peter's Canyon Elementary School and also with the Tustin Unified School District as a "behavioral interventionist," officials said.
