Study: LA Ranks Worst In The Nation For Traffic

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The City of Angels has the worst traffic in the nation, according to a new report by GPS navigation company Tom Tom.

On average, drivers spend 90 hours a year on congested roads and freeways, the study found.

The Tom Tom North American Congestion Index, released Wednesday, found LA roadways were the worst on Thursday mornings and Friday evenings.

The best times to drive with the least congestion were Monday evening and Friday morning.

Los Angeles traffic increased two percent, the highest level in five years, the report found.

San Francisco was the only other California city to make the list at number six.
