INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com)   — Officials said the decomposing body of a man was found Saturday inside a car parked at an Inglewood shopping center.

At the level of decomposition they found the body, police believed the man had been there for “several days.”

Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of West Century Boulevard just after 4:30 Saturday on a report of a suspicious vehicle, according to Inglewood Police Lt. Oscar Mejia.

The odor and the presence of the car for so long raised suspicions and led someone to call police, he said.
