Authorities Searching For Man Who Sexually Assaulted Jogger In Camarillo

CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are searching for a man who sexually assaulting a female jogger in Camarillo.

The 18-year-old victim was running in the area of Santa Rosa and Upland roads around 8:10 p.m. Thursday when the suspect knocked her to the ground and assaulted her, according to the Ventura County sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau.

The woman, who suffered minor cuts and bruises, was able to flee and go to a nearby business to report what happened.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic, in his 30s, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, 180 to 220 pounds, with a medium built. He had a possible burn mark on his left bicep.

He was wearing dark-colored jeans, a black or blue shirt and white shoes.
