HYDE PARK (CBSLA.com) – Actor Michael Jace has been detained Monday night in connection to the shooting death of his wife.

April Jace was found dead with gunshot wounds around 8:30 p.m. in a residence in the 5400 block of Brynhurst Avenue.

CBS2’s Andrea Fujii reported that the victim’s 51-year-old husband has not been arrested, but is being questioned.

Michael Jace is best known for his roles in FX’s “The Shield” and TNT’s “Southland.”

He also starred opposite Russell Crowe in the film “State of Play.”
