MT. BALDY (CBSLA.com)  —  Two people were killed in a vehicle that plunged nearly 800 feet over the side of a mountain road in the Angeles Crest area, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The initial call was at 8 a.m. on Glendora Ridge Road, five miles west of Mt. Baldy Road, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

Search and rescue personnel reached the vehicle a little more than three hours later and confirmed that two people were dead at the scene, he said.

Officials on Sunday identified the victims as Sergio Partida and Andrew Barrios. Both victims were 22 and both men lived in Ontario.
