Man, 21, Arrested For Allegedly Committing Lewd Acts In Front Of Children At Park

PASADENA (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly committing lewd acts in front of children inside a Pasadena park.

Officials said Joshua Duran of San Gabriel committed the lewd acts on May 9 at Michillinda County Park located in the 3800 block of Michillinda Drive.

Police said he committed the lewd act while seated on a park bench while he stared at children playing. They said he was observed by at least three adults who were in the park supervising their children.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene. Before they arrived, they said Duran fled the park on foot.

Parks Bureau Detectives said they were able to identify Duran through additional leads.

The suspect was located walking in a neighborhood about .4 miles away from the park on Tuesday.

When Duran was arrested, police said they also found a large amount of marijuana in his possession.

The suspect was transported to Temple Sheriff's Station and booked for possession of marijuana for sale and lewd/ lascivious acts in public. Duran is being held on a $20,000 bond.
