Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 11)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — We are still on track for some very warm weather here in Southern California.

This heat wave will stretch through the work week and it should peak on Wednesday with some of the warmest temperatures ... maybe even a few broken records.

High pressure is building into the west coast and as it moves east ... we will see an increased off-shore flow.

The worst of the winds can be expected today and tomorrow.

The gradients loosen up a bit for the rest of the week ... but the high strengthens. That means we are still on track for temperatures into the 100s. We really won't see much in the way of relief until next weekend.

Red Flag Warnings are now in effect through Tuesday.

Basin - upper 80s to low 90s;
Beaches - middle 80s;
Valleys - low to mid 90s;
Deserts - low 80s;
Mountains - low 60s.
