Alleged Wrong-Way Driver Accused Of Causing Multi-Vehicle Wreck On 134 Freeway

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they've arrested one person accused of driving in the wrong direction on the Ventura (134) Freeway in Burbank.

The person was suspected of causing a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of the thoroughfare after allegedly entering the freeway from the Buena Vista Drive off-ramp.

California Highway Patrol officer Tony Polizzi says the subsequent collision occurred almost immediately.

Polizzi said the number and extent of the injuries caused was not known, according to City News Service.

The accident happened Friday night about 11:35 p.m.

No further information was immediately available.
