LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man serving a life sentence for murder and robbery has been charged with killing a fellow prisoner at the Los Angeles County jail 17 years ago.

The District Attorney’s Office reported Thursday that Jaime Vidales has been charged with killing Miguel Sanchez in July 1997. If convicted he faces life in prison without possibility of parole.
