Inglewood Pursuit Ends With Vehicle Crashing Into Pedestrian, Other Cars

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A California Highway Patrol pursuit in Inglewood Tuesday night ended with the suspect's vehicle crashing into a pedestrian and other cars.

The four-minute chase, which started because the SUV was following a vehicle too closely, began shortly after 6:30 p.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard and the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.

The SUV got off at Century Boulevard.

Witnesses said the vehicle, which went up to 80 miles per hour, ran through red lights and hit a car and a pedestrian.

The SUV then collided into another car before it flipped over.

The suspect, the driver of one of the cars and the pedestrian were taken to the hospital. They're all expected to survive.

A portion of Century Boulevard was closed off to traffic.
