Deputies Searching For Suspect Who Fired At Them In Walnut Park

WALNUT PARK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are searching for a suspect who fired at them in Walnut Park Monday night.

San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies were on a surveillance operation at a residence in the 2900 block of Flower Street around 9 p.m. when one shot was fired, Sky9's Kevin Takumi reported.

A law enforcement official said the gunfire came from the surrounding area, and not the address under surveillance.

With the assistance of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, authorities set up a large perimeter, which is Florence to the north, Mountain View to the west, State Street to the east and Santa Ana Street to the south.

No deputies were injured.

No more information was immediately available.
