2 Suspects To Stand Trial In Fatal Santa Ana Nightclub Beating
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County judge Tuesday denied a motion to dismiss charges against two women accused in the deadly beating of a 23-year-old Westminster woman outside a Santa Ana nightclub.
Vanesa Tapia Zavala, 25, and Candace Marie Brito, 27, are facing murder charges for the January 18 beating of Annie Hung "Kim" Pham outside The Crosby Bar and Nightclub.
The women are accused of repeatedly kicking Pham in the head during a brawl near the line to get into the club. Pham died two days later.
The trial is scheduled to begin May 5.
