Thousand Oaks Police Bust Alleged Serial Burglar At Boys And Girls Club

THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — The Ventura County Sheriff's Department has announced the arrest of a suspect they believe burglarized the Boys and Girls Club of Thousand Oaks several times.

The club was burglarized several times over a four-week span, said authorities.

In response to the crime, the Thousand Oaks Police Bike Patrol set up a surveillance at the location.

Officials said on Thursday, about 12 a.m., Joshua Thomas Young, 23, was observed allegedly forcing his way into the club.

When officers attempted to question Young, they said he fled on foot. He was apprehended a short distance from the club, which is located at 233 Gainsborough Drive.

Young, a Thousand Oaks resident, was arrested on four counts of commercial burglary and booked at the East County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
