Moreno Valley Police Bust 2 Brothers For Alleged Mail Theft

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Moreno Valley Police say they have arrested two brothers for mail theft.

On Friday, about 7:30 p.m., a Moreno Valley Police Department Special Enforcement Team conducted a vehicle stop in the 25000 block of Bridle Trail in the city of Moreno Valley.

Te driver, Antonio Velez, 23, of Moreno Valley was stopped for traffic violations.

Police said Velez was subsequently arrested for outstanding arrest warrants and for being in possession of narcotics. The vehicle was later discovered to be stolen out of the city of Perris.

Authorities went to search Velez' residence and encountered his brother, Ismael Temores, 38, also of Moreno Valley.

Temores was allegedly found to be in possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

Both Velez and Temores were transported to Moreno Valley Police Department for interview.

Officials said they turned up a second stolen vehicle in the area of Bridle Trail, and several items of stolen mail including credit cards, bank statements and items with the personal information of the intended recipients were allegedly found. The brothers were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
