1 Wounded In Apparent Drive-By Shooting In Pico Rivera
PICO RIVERA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say one person has been wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting in Pico Rivera on Friday evening.
The shooting at Ibsen Street and Calico Avenue unfolded after angry words were reportedly exchanged, Sky9's Stu Mundel said.
Deputies responding to the shooting call spotted the vehicle allegedly involved and a short pursuit ensued.
"There was a short pursuit. That vehicle was lost out here in this Pico Rivera neighborhood," Mundel reported. "Deputies are on scene. They are searching for what's described as an older model, Chevy Jimmy, gold in color, possibly with gold rims."
The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
