LAFD Rescues 2 Men, 2 Dogs From LA River
CYPRESS PARK (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Fire Department Friday conducted a swift-water rescue of two men and two dogs from the LA River.
Crews responded to a portion of the river in the 1500 block of San Fernando Road in Cypress Park around 9 a.m., officials said.
The men and dogs were stranded on a fallen tree in waist-deep water.
Firefighters gave the men life jackets and used ropes and a Zodiac boat to get them, and the dogs, to safety around 10:15 a.m.
It was unclear if there were any injuries or why the men were in the river in the first place.
