Student Sexually Assaulted By Tow Truck Driver At Pierce College

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Tuesday were searching for a tow truck company employee who allegedly sexually assaulted a Pierce College student after responding to a roadside assistance call.

The incident occurred between 8 and 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the parking lot of the college's performing arts center in Woodland Hills, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The victim had called an undisclosed tow truck company for help with her dead car battery when the assault occurred.

The suspect, who was driving a Toyota Prius with the company's logo on its side, arrived on scene and began to charge the vehicle, officials said.

He then reportedly reached out and pulled the woman toward him, grabbing her breasts and buttocks area, before continuing to work on the vehicle.

Once the car started, the victim locked herself inside and drove away.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s.

The incident, which was originally reported to the LAPD, was under investigation by the LASD's City College Bureau.
