Man, 29, Arrested On Suspicion Of Shooting Teenager In The Head

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 29-year-old who is man accused of shooting a teenage boy multiple times was arrested on Friday.

Jorge Gamboa of San Bernardino was taken into custody without incident in connection with the early morning shooting of a 17-year-old juvenile.

The victim was found by police in his home in the 1000 block of W. 11th Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The San Bernardino Police Department said in a statement that he was taken to an area hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

The statement also said the suspect allegedly fired into the victim's home several times before fleeing on foot. The victim reportedly sustained other gunshot wounds as well.

"The motive for the shooting appears to stem from relationship problems the suspect has with an ex-girlfriend," the statement indicated.
