LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An injured mountain biker was expected to recover from facial injuries after being airlifted from Will Rogers State Park to a nearby hospital Monday, officials said.

The 21-year-old man was found by a park ranger who called for help around 9:15 a.m., according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The victim was transported to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in good condition, Humphrey said.

No other details were immediately available.
