Rosemead Sheriff's Looking For Kidnap Suspect Who Was Masturbating In Public

ROSEMEAD (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's deputies in Rosemead are warning the public about a man they say tried to kidnap a woman after she observed him masturbating in public.

The incident occurred Tuesday between 12 a.m. - 1 a.m. in the area of San Gabriel Boulevard and Fern Avenue, authorities said.

The victim said she was walking in that area when she saw a male suspect masturbating. The man was standing next to a vehicle.

The woman continued walking on Fern Avenue and she said the suspect began to follow her.  The suspect caught up to her and grabbed the woman as she tried to pull her away. The victim struggled with the suspect and yelled for help. The suspect fled on foot and the victim got away uninjured.

She described the suspect as a Latino, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds. The man has dark hair, and was wearing black shorts and a grey shirt. The suspect's vehicle was described as a grey sedan.

The case is being investigated by Temple Station Detectives. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Temple Sheriff's Station at (626) 285-7171.
