SoCal's First 'Great Bull Run' Coming To Temecula In June

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — There's no need to fly to Spain if you want to risk your life running with the bulls.

An event similar to the wild run that takes place on the streets of Pamplona every July is coming to Temecula's Galway Downs in June.

This is the first time "The Great Bull Run" has come to the West Coast, but animal rights groups such as PETA have protested the event in other states, claiming it inflicts unnecessary stress and harm on the animals.

Event organizers, however, say the animals are treated well.

Participants are also warned that there's a possibility of bodily injury and even death.

The public can also sign up to be a spectator or participate in the Tomato Royale food fight.
