Sex Offender Wanted For Murder Of Texas Man In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities need the public's help in tracking down a murder suspect wanted for the killing of a Texas man in Los Angeles.

Oscar Bridges, 54, is wanted in the Jan. 23 stabbing death of 22-year-old Robert Brewer of Texas, Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokeswoman Officer Nicole Nishida said.

Brewer was staying with Bridges in a hotel room in the 10400 block of South Vermont Avenue in unincorporated Los Angeles, where he was found with multiple stab wounds. Bridges had rented the room for the week, detectives said.

Brewer only recently arrived in Los Angeles after visiting a friend in Oregon, Sheriff's homicide Lt. Holly Francisco said.

"We know he left Oregon and made his way to Southern California and we do not know how they connected together," Francisco said.
