2 Arrested In LA Valley College 'Drug Rip Off' Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two men have been arrested in the shooting death of a man in a parking lot of Los Angeles Valley College in what authorities say was a "drug deal rip off."

Ricardo Zetino, 31, of Tujunga, was found shot several times outside his truck Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. in a campus parking lot in the 5800 block of Fulton Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. David Coleman said.

Zetino was pronounced dead at a hospital.

"Investigators developed information that the shooting incident was the result of a drug deal 'rip off.' The choice of the college parking lot was random," Coleman said.

"Information developed by investigators led them to an apartment in the City of San Jacinto in Riverside County, where both suspects were located and arrested without incident," Coleman said.

The suspects were identified as Raheen Taylor, 31, and Derrick Wilson, 25.

A investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered two revolvers and other ballistic evidence," he said. "An undetermined amount of illegal drugs were also seized, as well as the suspects' vehicle, which is believed to have been used during the murder."

Both Taylor and Wilson were being held without bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
